If you have an existing blog and/or website, you can monetize your sites or make money out of your sites.
If you plan to create a new blog or website, you should consider monetizing it in order that you can receive some additional income.
I will discuss with you about monetizing a free Blogger blog. Blogger.com is owned by Google.com. One single email address and one single password are needed to access your various accounts with Blogger and Google.
When you create a free Blogger blog, the blog layout has already a pre-designed space for Google AdSense, where advertisements (either in text only or text and image) are automatically shown. You have an option to customize the Google advertisement format by changing the box size, background color, text font and color, and some other options.
If you do not understand the HTML language to generate Google ads in your blog, you will have no problem because, as I said, the free Blogger blog layout has already an embedded space for Google ads. Once you have finished writing your blog post or article and published it on the Internet, you will see that your blog has two (2) Google banner ads. One banner ad, measuring 468 pixels by 60 pixels, is displayed either on the top left side or top right side of the blog. The second banner ad, with the same size, is shown at the bottom of your blog post or article. The more you write and post blog articles on the Internet, the more you have Google ads in your blog.
When your readers click on the Google ads, you are entitled to a certain commission based on certain formulas established by Google. The more your readers click on the Google ads, your commission is being accumulated and held under your account up to a certain amount.
NOTE: Do not click any Google ad appearing in your blog because if you do, your account with Google will be cancelled and terminated. Whatever commissions you earned from the Google ads and held under your account will not be paid to you.
Payment of Commissions from Google Ads
1. When your first total commission from Google ads reaches a certain amount, say ten dollars ($10), Google will send a message to your Google email account. When you open your email, Google will direct you to its web page where you will fill out the following information:
1.a. Confirm your name, address, and telephone number
1.b. Choose method of payment (either by checks to be mailed to your mailing address or direct electronic deposits to your bank account). If by electronic deposits, you have to enter the bank information such as bank name, bank address, and bank account number.
1.c. Fill out the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form W-9 (Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification) for income tax withholding purposes.
You will enter the above information only once to update your account settings when your first total commission reaches at least $10.
2. After you have verified the accuracy of information you entered in 1.a. through 1.c. above, you click the "Submit" button to update your Google account settings.
3. Everytime your accumulated total commission generated from your blog's Google ads reaches at least one hundred dollars ($100), Google will send your commission payment either by check or direct electronic deposit into your bank account based on the method of payment you selected on 1.b. above.
Tips
To increase your blog readership and commissions from Google ads:
1. write and post relevant blog articles or information that will interest more people to read your blog; and
2. advertise your blog by telling your family members, relatives, neighbors, office co-workers, and friends.

Free Blog to Make Money While Sleeping
The economic recession that is happening in different countries increased unemployment and underemployment. Self-employed business owners closed their establishments for lack of business. Many people have no income or less money to buy food and pay bills. Others filed for bankruptcy to wipe out their unsecured financial obligations. In the absence of available jobs, people are trying to discover how to make money in order to survive.
One way to make money is to create a free blog or blogs. The first question that one will ask is: how much will it cost me to create a free blog? The answer is: NOTHING! How will I create a free blog?
Let me share with you when, why, and how I created this free blog.
It was December 26, 2011 about 8:00 in the evening and I was alone in my computer room. Since I was underemployed or a part-time worker, I was brainstorming how I can make additional money. I searched the Internet and came across Google and Blogger websites. Then, I went to YouTube website and searched for audio blogging tutorials. They were easy to understand and I followed the instructions.
